Teach English as a foreign language to Moroccan teenagers and adults. A minimum of 18 contact hours a week, mostly in the evening and on Saturdays. Teachers are expected to use the communicative approach with lots of pair and group work in a student-centered environment. In addition to the course books (Interchange 3rd edition & World Pass) teachers are expected to supplement their classes with DVD clips, music and grammar games--- all provided by the ALC.

Qualifications

* Native speaker of English
* B.A. + CELTA, TEFL, TESOL certificate or equivalent
* At least one year’s overseas EFL experience

We are looking for teachers who are familiar with the student-centered approach to language acquistion. This would include lots of pair and group work with the instructor serving as facilitator and not as lecturer. We are interested in teachers who know that teacher talk should be kept to a bare minimum.

Benefits

* Salary range between 161 -182 Dirhams per hour (approx. $20.80 - $23.50)
* 5,000 Dhs settling in allowance * Housing allowance up to 3,000 Dhs/month (approx. $387.70)
(decent apartments located not too far from the ALC can be found for between 3,000 and 4,000 Dhs (non-furnished.)
